ANNIE RISEMBERG
MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST

I am a multimedia journalist based in Bamako, Mali, by way of Philadelphia, U.S.A. My work can be seen on Voice of America, Le monde, Deutsche Welle, BBC, Agence France-Presse, and Roads and Kingdoms, among others.  I work frequently as a videographer and photographer for international NGOs.

I attended the Missouri Photo Workshop in 2017, the New York Times Portfolio Review in 2018, and exhibited work at the 5th edition of Addis Foto Fest in December 2018.  I am a 2019 National Geographic Society grantee for my work with the Sufis in Mali. 

I am HET (hostile environment training) and RISC (reporters instructed in saving colleagues) certified.
